Print this using the normal 8 bit driver and ensure a matching paper profile for the exact paper. Have you tried printing a known colour test file ? Have a look at Northlight images for a colour test file that is known correct. Why are you using the 16 bit driver for an 8 bit jpeg ? You mention your media is set for Glossy, is that exactly the correct profile for the Canon paper you are using ? What software are you printing from, I am not familiar with Lightroom I use Photoshop, perhaps try to download your printer drivers again, look for individual drivers from Canon's site and read any info files on the updates. An image of that DPI printed to this size should look amazing ! Your digital file looks fine, possibly a little bright, so the idea you print with +13 exposure is a bit of a red flag. For file size I scanned at 300 DPI, and exported the actual picture at 300 PPI.įirst thing I can say is that the quality in no way reflects the ability of this printer. I have attached the scanned picture and a digital version. I have tried printing with and without 16 bit, no difference. The Print settings I am using are Print Resolution unchecked (shows 300ppi greyed out), Print Sharpening at High, Media Type is Glossy, 16 Bit Output, Profile Managed by Printer and the Brightness adjusted in Print Adjustment by +13. The photo is a NEF (Nikon Raw) 5568 x 3712. I am using a iMac running the latest Lightroom Classic. However, when I print on the 4圆 paper it is really poor quality due to the graininess. That, or my expectations are too high for a home (expensive) printer.įor now I am just printing on the 4圆 Canon gloss paper that came with the printer before I use up a whole bunch of ink and paper on the larger sizes. However, I too am having issues with really poor quality output while printing. My apologies upfront if this is hijacking the OP's thread, but I thought it best to keep conversations about this printer in one thread.Īdmittedly I am definitely not a pro when it comes to printing.
